Lovegood Tattoos & Piercings
Some helpful tips to know before you come in and get your piercing...Its a good idea to eat something before you come in. Also, stay hydrated. No pain meds or blood thinners should be taken before you come in. And no, numbing cream won't do any good, unfortunately.
AFTERCARE TIPS
We recommend a sterile saline wound wash solution to clean your new piercings. Washing your piercing at least 2 times a day is a must! When you shower be sure to wash your piercing last to get rid of any residue from other products. Always wash your hands before cleaning your piercing! Try not to touch it or move it unless you are cleaning it. Avoid laying on a fresh piercings while you sleep.
Different areas require a little different treatment which our professional piercers will cover with you individually when you come in.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Initially; some bleeding, localized swelling, tenderness, and/or bruising. During healing some discoloration, itching, secretion of a yellowish fluid (not pus) that will form some crust on the jewelry. The tissue may tighten around the jewelry as it heals. A piercing might seem healed before the healing is complete. The interior is still fragile so, be patient and don't change it too soon! Most places will close up fairly quickly, especially if they are new so always leave jewelry in if you want to keep your adornment!
